Mortal Kombat is a top grossing sequence of skirmish games made by John Tobias & Ed Boon in 1992. The original Mortal Kombat action figures were developed with digitized sprites based mostly on actors, vs animated cartoon graphics. Throughout the series, the game was known for its intense violence including deaths, uppercuts that sprayed blood & launched players into the air, & its theatrical special moves.
