OK, you've been wondering HOW can you easily save and frequently use the same block of text? Sure you could always type once and copy then as you go through paste. But what if you need to use copy and paste for something else? What if you have more than one block of repeating text?

You've typed a portion of your document and have found that there's a block of text that is repeated throughout and will be continued in the document. Think about it, do you really want to keep typing your business name? You put time and thought into it, but it may not be the shortest, easiest thing to type. Perhaps you're writing a technical document and that thing you're explaining has a million letters in it - and it needs to be in italics. This is what to do. You save the frequently used text (for that document) as a BUILDING BLOCK.

For my short example, I'll pretend I'm writing an article about the longest words. Who would want to keep typing: Honorificabilitudinitatibus? (the longest word in one of Shakespeare's works - Love's Labour's Lost according to Wikipedia)

In the text at the first place I see Honorificabilitudinitatibus, I select it then go to the INSERT tab. In the TEXT group, click on the QUICK PARTS button and then click Save Selection To Quick Part Gallery. The Create New Building Block dialog box opens. In the NAME box I'd type honor then click OK. Word saves this in the Quick Parts Gallery.

Now, anytime I type a document that needs Honorificabilitudinitatibus in it, I just go to the Quick Parts button and click on the already saved text I want to use. This feature is great for making sure that formatting is consistent for the multiple use text. Now with that "in the interest of keeping formatting consistent" thing, Excel and Power Point do not have Quick Parts.

Now, for the great way to use this shortcut without having to go to Insert, Text, Quick Parts, and click on the Quick Part you want. Later in the document when you're about to refer to Shakespeare's longest word again, just start your sentence - then type honor (your Quick Part), press the Space Bar then press the F3 key then type a period. Word replaces the honor building block with Honorificabilitudinitatibus. How cool is that? Also keep in mind, this saves the block of text exactly as you've typed it - so if it's in italics, bold, a different font, a different color, OR (God forbid) misspelled - it will insert exactly as you've saved it.

• Linear Style: this is the style of the Linear sub style, this controls how the colors in the linear mode is drawn.
  
• Hatch Style: this is the style of the Hatch sub style, this is like a texture types for the button.
  
• Hatch Back Color: this is the color of the hatch back ground (kinda like the texture back color) you must set the sub style to Hatch in order to apply this color.
  
• Hatch Lines Color: this is the color of the hatch lines (kinda like the color of the button texture) you must set the sub style to Hatch in order to apply this color.
  
• Color 2: this color is for button Style 1 only, it determine the color of the second button's border.
  
• Inner Color: if you set the button style to Style 1 then this will be the inner color of the button, if you set the button style to Style 4 then this will be the inner color of the button
  
• Linear Inner Color: you must set the sub style to Linear in order to apply this color, if you set the button style to Style 1 then this will be the second linear color of the button's inner body, if you set the button style to Style 4 then this will be the second linear color of the button's inner body.
  
• Body Color: this is the color of the 4 small rectangles on the Style 4 button.

If your button didn't appear refresh the page and it will appear.

Download the button on your machine by clicking right click on the button in the Preview Screen box and choose "Save Picture As..."

Select "Pushed" and click "Create Button" again.

If you are using .Net programming language then download the image button control from http://www.codemust.com/DownloadPage.aspx?Id=505 and add the Unpushed image and Pushed image into the control.
