How do i get autofocus on my camera?

while making a video, i wanna set my camera on autofocus but i dont know how you do it
it has auto while taking the PICTURE, but not video

Unfortunately, your camera cannot auto-focus (AF) while recording a video. AF is only available for still shooting. This applies to all Canon compact models (and most other brands).

To start recording your video you need to first half-press the shutter button to allow the camera time to set the exposure, focus and white balance settings...and then you fully press it down to start recording.
