How would you set this camera?
Of course I will try many (bracketed) shots, but I always pick some thin up from the good minds here.

If it's a full moon on a clear night, you can use the sunny 16 rule to meter. After all, the moon is just a rock in direct sunlight, no different than a rock in your front yard at noon.

The Sunny 16 Rule: If you're shooting at f/16, use a shutter speed reciprocal with the ISO rating of the film.

For example:

* f/16 - ISO 100 - 1/100s
* f/16 - ISO 400 - 1/400s
* f/16 - ISO 1600 - 1/1600s

Or in your case, if you're using the telescope as a prime focus lens without an eyepiece:

* f/7.5 - ISO 400 - ~1/800s

You can fiddle with these numbers to suit the particulars of your situation. If the moon is behind clouds, less than full or low on the horizon, you'll want to make some adjustments. Bracketing is probably not a bad idea either. Good luck!
