On my Macbook, while I try to use the camera, the green light lights up but I can't see anything. Help?

I've tried restarting the computer and logging into the guest account. It doesn't work in iChat, photobooth, or iMovie. It was working fine 4 days ago, I noticed it last night when I tried to video chat with a friend. The green light will come on but all I see is black, and when I try to take a photo on photobooth it doesn't develop into the photo panel below.

Click on Software Update. Make sure it is up-t0-date.
