The Canon SD1300IS 12 MP Digital Camera is a very nice point and click digital camera when it is compared to others in its price range. It comes with a 28mm wide-angle lens which has 4 x optical zoom and comes complete with image stabilization. It comes with a 2.7 inch display and 12.1 megapixel resolution.

Depends on how important the shot is, which is often directly proportional to how much money its worth, or how hard it would be to repeat the shot.

I generally take two. Both with spare batteries and lenses. As per the answerer above I will tend to put different lenses int he two cameras to avoid frequent changes.

Similarly I have never had a failure of any of my Nikon Cameras.
