Can a Canon A630 shoot auto repeat at variable rates?

Here's the situation: To provide home security of sorts, I'd like to be able to set my A630 up to automatically shoot 1 pic every 10 secs, or every 20 secs, or whatever, without me having to hold down the shutter realease. Just set it, push the button, and walk away and it takes a pics for whatever length interval I set it for. Is this possible? Does any camera do this? Thx

The A630 cannot do what you want. You need to find a camera that has a timelapse function or an intervalometer.
I do know of two cameras that have this feature, however they do not shoot images in the way that you want.
The Canon S3 IS has an intervalometer. It can be set to shoot images at set intervals from 1 to 60 minutes and 2 to 100 images at a time.
The ultra compact Canon SD1000 has a timelapse feature which shoots a photo every 1-2 seconds, which is not really what you want.
I'm not sure if other cameras have this feature...you might have to look at more of a security type of camera instead.
