Here are some more information for Canon Sureshot:

Amongst all of the Canon digital camera models you can get cameras for all type of photographers. Whether you are an experienced photographer, the semi-serious professional or the amateur canon offers some of the best cameras for your needs. Amongst those cameras you will find the Canon Sure Shot digital Camera.
The Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera is known to be one of the "good" canon cameras. The various features you can find on this camera will make it very easy for you to take great pictures.
The Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera comes with amazing features. Here are just some of the features you get with your digital camera:
- Built-in zoom capability
- Timer system
- Red eye reduction capability
Those features make the Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera fully automatic. You can be sure that you will be able to capture steady images. No more blurred pictures unless that's what you want.
One good point about the Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera is the duration of the battery. With this type of camera you can expect a long duration and life for your battery. Of course like many cameras out there are also some weak points. With this type of camera you can expect to experience a small delay in-between taking pictures. For some it can be a problem, for others it's no problem. Either way it's worth mentioning.
The bad side of this is that you will have to wait a few seconds before you can take the next shot. The time delay you will experience is very short but sometimes this can cost you a great picture by loosing a candid moment.
But to be fair I need to say that there are a lot more advantages to this camera than disadvantages. The flash you get with this camera is powerful enough to turn a dark room into daylight brightness. For me The Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera remains a very good camera to buy.
On top of that the Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera is very good to take great pictures of landscape and portrait photographs.
One of the things you might want to consider when buying your Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera is the accessories that come with the camera. You might also take note of the accessories that you might have to purchase separately to enhance you camera even more.
When you buy the Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera you will also get the strap which is attached to the camera. You will also get the case for transporting the cameras which is usually made of leather with a strong Velcro fastening.
You will find that the Canon Sure Shot Digital Camera is probably on of the best digital camera you can get if you are an amateur photographer.

Points to Consider before You Buy an Underwater Camera
Just imagine having an underwater camera, when you are diving deep under the sea. Not only do you have the opportunity to take memorable photographs of all those new friends of yours, but there is also a chance that you are going to get so caught up with this amazing new photographic field that you might even turn professional. But you have to look at some points before you decide to go and buy an underwater camera.
Underwater cameras come in 2 forms, digital and film. You can go to Fuji and Kodak, to get underwater cameras at an economical price, either for a single time use or for reusable ones. A Kodak underwater camera can still be going strong at a depth of 45 feet, but Fuji has a limit of 35 feet underwater. Then, are you looking for a digital camera or are you looking for a film camera? do you intend to buy something, which is to be used just during the vacation or do you want to go whole hog, hang the expense and invest the nest egg into the underwater camera of your choice?
Apart from Kodak or Fuji, you could try out a Bonica. The Handy Snapper model has a lens that is focus free, with an electronic flash, which is built in. It also has a viewfinder. By the way it is considered to go up to 100 feet, and it is completely waterproof, because it is sealed with an O-ring made of silicon. Bonica has a heavier professional model, known as the Multi-Snapper. A vacuum pump is going to make it watertight, when you take it up to a depth of 160 feet. Professional Explorer cameras are also made by the company, along with attached lights to advance the quality of the picture in that dark underwater area.
If you happen to be a complete newbie in the market of underwater cameras, you could always try a MX 5 II model made by Sea and Sea , an American company. This is a film camera with a F/9 focus 28 mm lens . It has a sports finder, which can help you see exactly what you happen to be photographing underwater. You can also buy close-up lenses as well as detachable light strobes from them.
Now comes Minolta, how can one imagine that they have not taken out a model of underwater cameras? The Vectis model can be taken to a depth of around 32 feet, and it has a zoom lens of a range of about 50 mm. The accessories that are available for this model of underwater camera are the same ones which are used by professional photographers while taking high-speed high action photographs.
If you want to spend less than hundred dollars, in a basic model, you can choose a SeaLife underwater camera. They also make professional underwater cameras, along with the accessories like filters, lenses for close-ups, and cases to carry your camera in. Canon also has some models of underwater cameras like Elph , and SureShot, for beginners and professionals

What is the main difference between 8 and 12 megapixels?
I am currently thinking about investing in a digital camera. The 2 that I am looking at are the Canon Powershot SD 850 IS (with 8 Megapixels) and the Sony SureShot with 12 megapixels. The guy at the store said that the Canon performed much better, and that there is not a large visible difference between 8 & 12 Megapixels. How apparent is the pixel difference if you wish to crop and enlarge. How small can you crop with 8 and how small can you crop with 12? Is the additional megapixels worth getting if it performs slower and less stable? Thank you in advance!!
Well, obviously there are 50% more pixels, which gives you more cropping room.
But if you go over to www.dpreview.com and look at Phil's camera tests, you'll see that cramming more pixels onto a tiny sensor does not necessarily produce a better image.
The increased noise and noise reduction may in fact negate the increased resolution.
Check it out before you buy.
