What Is Ccd In A Digital Camera?

The CCD (short for charge coupled device) camera is the optical sensor, which is the component that allows to transform the image from the objective into electricity and then into a video signal.

Sony CCD-TRV66 Repair?

The head on my ccd-trv66 camcorder has worn out. I need to replace it. However, apparently there aren't any shops here in london who sell spare parts, and one lady I spoke to didn't even know what a head was! There was a product called camcroder Sensor/Holder.....is there any chance that this might be a head?? Unfortunately, there weren't any pictures available.

You probably have to send it in to Sony to have it repaired. Check the Sony support site for your camera model for further instructions. You may find that buying a new camera will be viable option versus the cost of repair. Good luck!!
