What is the best disc to copy photo's onto?

Should I use CD-R, CD-RW.? Or does it have more to do with the amount of storage on the disc

I am using DVD+R. This has capacity of 4.7 G and will last for longer in case. For even longer storage try to search for a special media that is suitable for longer storage.
