I bought a picture from ikea of a lighthouse, anyone know if its a photo or painting?

I have a picture that we bought from ikea last year of a lighthouse with a huge wave crashing around it and a man stood at the door. Everytime someone visits they go straight to the picture and we end up arguing over whether its a photo or a painting. I think its a painting, but EVERYONE else has said that its a photo, can anyone help??
