This is the 20th edition of the weekly 30-minute menus for 2010. These are published on a weekly basis; I like to develop the weekly menus on Thursday or Friday, grocery shop on Saturday, and start the week's menus on Sunday.

Are you enjoying spring? It is just great here in Atlanta - there is a nice breeze during the day and the evenings are still cool. The menus this week are designed for easy living (and are also easy on the budget).

It is great grilling weather here. If your weather isn't as warm, you can always broil the chicken and beef satay for a wonderful alternative.

You will find that I use several cooking methods, mix and match, to get dinner on the table quickly! (The ingredients in parenthesis show some of my quick-prep steps.) You can always substitute your favorite made-from-scratch recipes when you have more time.

Sunday:

Meatloaf Timbales with Mushroom Sauce (sliced mushrooms, canned petite tomatoes; purchase extra mushrooms for Monday)

Baked Potatoes (microwave then place in oven to finish)

Tomato / Corn / Avocado Salad (cherry tomatoes, canned corn)

Almond Cherry Crisp (whole grain & almond cereal, cherry pie filling)

Monday:

Turkey Tetrazzini (boxed pasta, pre-cooked or canned poultry, sliced mushrooms, grated Parmesan cheese)

Broccoli Medley (frozen blend)

Ice Cream with Pecan Shortbread Cookies (purchased ice cream and cookies; purchase extra ice cream for Wednesday and Saturday)

Tuesday:

Quick Jambalaya (boxed gumbo mix, chicken tenders, fully cooked smoked sausage, cleaned and deveined shrimp, canned tomatoes)

Jiffy Fruit Salad (bagged spring mix, jarred fruit)

Cream Puffs (purchased cream puffs)

Wednesday:

Kung Pao Chicken (chicken tenders)

Fried Rice

Melon Salad with Apricot Dressing (apricot jam, yogurt, shredded coconut)

Ginger Ice Cream and Fortune Cookies (purchased ice cream and cookies)

Thursday:

Ravioli Mediteranea (vegetarian; purchased ravioli, jarred pasta sauce, shredded cheese)

Toss Salad (bagged lettuce)

Heavenly Angel Food Cake (purchased angel food cake, strawberry jam, whipped topping)

Friday:

BBQ Chicken Quarters with Curried Pineapple Slices (prepared orange juice, bottled teriyaki sauce, canned pineapple slices)

Potato Salad (canned potatoes)

Spiced Oatmeal Cookies

Saturday:

Beef Satay with Peanut Sauce (bottled Italian salad dressing, jarred peanut butter)

Rice Pilaf with Raisins (boxed rice mix)

Spinach and Strawberry Salad (bagged baby spinach, bottled salad dressing)

Orange Gelatin Parfaits (purchased ice cream, boxed gelatin, canned Mandarin orange sections)

What makes the World of Warcraft (original) Collector's Edition so valuable?

I won a contest a few weeks ago and I basically won all of the contents that come in the collectors edition box. Why is it so expensive? I noticed on ebay that its going for $1000-$2,000. I would guess its the limited edition pets.
Is it just because it's in an unopened box? Could I sell the contents for almost as much?

Panda pet. That silly little thing is so cute, and has never once been seen again since the release of WoW. The only way to get that pet is to have the old collectors edition code. And sadly enough, people pay thousands for them... that and the Spectral Tiger mount you get from the WoW Card game.. it's on E-Bay for close to $4,000.
