Acrylic Painting Ideas
Acrylic is a manufactured fiber derived from a polymer of colorless, flammable liquid. It is soft, resistant to wrinkles and shrinkage and has a property of drying up quickly. Acrylic paints can be used in high gloss or matte finishes. As with oils, the pigment amount and particle size can alter the paint sheen.
Base your color scheme on the living room's largest furniture, the room's focal point, height of your ceiling, the lighting, how the room is to be used, the room's size, and the feeling that you want to create whenever you're inside the living room.
You can consider this one as advantage or disadvantage that they dry up very quickly. Artist must be very fast with his or her design and ideas while using them. However, in present time additives are used in them to slow down its drying process.
Children love having their faces painted! Whether it's at a carnival, fair, or community fun day or at home just for the fun of it, it's a definite favorite. There are many different things you can do with face painting. There are unlimited ideas when it comes to what types of designs you can paint.
Painting greeting cards. Making your own greeting cards is a good way to start small. I suggest purchasing lightweight acrylic or watercolor grade paper. You could first cut the paper in half so that you can make two cards. Fold the paper in half and create a nice scene on the front. Don't get too fancy or it will take a long time to make a minimum number of cards
Charcoal works beautifully as a preliminary step to oil painting. There are three main forms of charcoal used most often by artist's and they are compressed, willow and vine charcoal. Willow and Vine charcoal tend to be more highly favored for preliminary drawings as they leave a lighter mark and are easier to erase.
Halloween is almost here and around where I live there are piles of pumpkins sitting on the front laws of farmers houses with signs indicating to leave a few dollars for each pumpkin. This always seems to be the start of the Halloween season and with that means easy pumpkin painting.
The architectural details, trims, and doors may always be highlighted with the gloss finish such as the satin or the semi-gloss. These areas are thus easier to clean since they are sheen and smooth in texture.
All you need is to be able to paint on a face confidently, and sometimes we need help or a guide to start us off. The answer is simple, similar to using a pattern to sew a dress; you can use face painting patterns to help paint a design.
The good news is that the evolution of house paint has come a long way with low-odor and even odorless lines for some applications. The bad news is there are still so many reasons to use the smelly stuff, especially if you're repainting an older home.

When i told printer i wanted 100gsm gloss paper, i received order and it was thinner than usual 80gsm paper!?
i sent a flyer to my offset printer to print. i told her i wanted it on a4 100gsm gloss. 4 days later i receive the whole lot of it and took one out and realised it was thinner than the usual 80gsm printing paper! it might even be as thin as a 70gsm! you can compare it to the thickness of magazine paper. it's that thin.
when i asked her why, she told me that because her 100gsm gloss paper is woodfree paper, and the usual 80gsm printing paper is not, hence 80gsm paper has fibre bonding which actually appears 'thicker' than the 100gsm (which doesn't have fibre bonding). i called my boyfriend because his dad is a printer too, and he told me that it's BS.
so i need to know, is she right? or is my bf right that she's talking BS?
One of my friends works as a reproduction tech for kodak, Photocopy printing etc, and he says what a load of rubbish, its one to go into the book of boggit and scarper.
