Any time I talk about some of my favorite actors, one person that I always feel the need to mention is Nicholas Cage. Nicholas Cage may not be the best actor per se, but I always find him to be entertaining, and in general, I feel that he usually picks good scripts to star in.

This article will highlight some of my favorite Nicholas Cage films of all time.

The first film that I will mention is The Rock. Where do I start with this movie? This film is everything that I miss about awesome 90s action flicks. Quotable lines, awesome action, chases, explosions and the perfect amount of humor mixed in.

Another great film of his that happened to be released in the 1990s was Face Off. This movie stars Cage and John Travolta in an incredibly original plotline, which I will not give away, but is definitely worth seeing if you like action films.

No list of Nicholas Cage films would be complete without mentioning Adaptation. In Charlie Kaufman written script, Cage actually plays a pair of twins, one of which is humorously named Charlie Kaufman. This is a bizarre, yet incredibly enjoyable film.

Another movie of this great actor that I feel the need to mention is Matchstick Men. In this film Nicholas Cage plays a con artist who unexpectedly gets the surprise that he has a teenage daughter, whom he has to take under his wing.

One film that I certainly have to mention on this list is the movie that won Nicholas Cage an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and that film was none other than Leaving Las Vegas. This film is categorized as drama/romance, but spans beyond its genre.

Hopefully there are one or more films on this list from this incredibly prolific actor that you have yet to see.

Next was the Lord of The Rings that was greatly loved due to the amazing extravaganzas and perils that created moments of distress and surprise. You might sometimes jump off your seats by viewing such high thrilling action films. Action Movies are recognized by younger generation where they are amazed to see amazing stunts and awesome actions. These bold films have gained huge fame in the field of movie business. Action movies have attracted the audience and the younger generation, not only this but even the children love to see action dramas with great excitement and zeal. In the early times the films were very simple with very less adventure and more of melodies, but then in the need for action was realized by a few filmmakers and they worked hard to screen a thrill packed action film. Soon with the advancement of technology and computer graphics the filmmakers were capable to make an ideal action movie that was desired by all. Primarily a few movies had only a few flicks of thrill and action, but due to great developments in the film making, now a complete action movie full of adventure and thrill is produced that has drawn a huge audience from all age-groups. Now the action movies are greatly thrilling and delightful that has drawn a huge audience towards it. People are more interested to watch action packed films rather that a slow romantic film or an old family saga. But then there are some flicks of action in all types of films that is why a movie becomes interesting to watch
