Here are some more information for Film Underwater:

Movies with magic can be a great escape and way to relax as anything can happen in a magic movie. While many times movies with magic are thought of as just kids films there are actually plenty of movies that have magic that are just for adults and many movies can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages. The following describes just a few of the films with magic for everyone.
If you are thinking of movies that contain magic then some of the first that come to mind are the Harry Potter films. These films depict another side to reality in which there are some people that can use magic and are witches and wizards. The Harry Potter movies have been a great success and while they do slightly deviate from the novels they are still very enjoyable.
The Neverending stories also contain plenty of magic. These movies are also based off of a book. There is the magical land of fantasy that is being slowly destroyed by the darkness. It is up to a young warrior to stop the darkness and find a cure. The darkness is a symbol for a lack of imagination from people in the real world and how this is destroying the magical world of Fantastica. There are actually three Neverending story movies.
A great magical movie from Disney is Bed knobs and Broomsticks. This movie takes place during the Second World War when children were sent out of London to live elsewhere because it was too dangerous. Three orphans end up living with a witch and they travel about on a magical bed. They travel underwater and even escape the Nazi's. This movie blends real actors with some great animation.
While movies with magic in them has fascinated not only children but adults as well its no surprise that we are still captivated by the imagination. There are tons of magical movies out there to be watched it is just a matter of finding the time to sit down and watch them.
Film Review: Leviathon
Director George P. Cosmatos had a short career having only directed ten films in four decades with Shadow Conspiracy in 1997 being his last film. With Leviathan (1989) Cosmatos was ending a career at a high note (Tombstone in ’93 would be a cap on his career).
Leviathan is the story of an underwater mining facility that comes into contact with a sunken Russian vessel that seems to have been sunken on purpose. The crew return to their facility with a safe believing that there might be a reason for the vessel being there but instead find nothing but an alcoholic flask that they believe is innocent. Unbeknownst to them the flask harbors a genetic experiment gone wrong. When several of the crew members drink from the flask they become infected with an organism that slowly takes over their bodies changing them into creatures whose only goal is to survive and spread. Lead by Steven Beck (Peter Weller) the remaining crew must find a way to survive the presence of the creature before the creature kills everyone else in the vessel.
Following soon after the release of Deep Star Six earlier that year (1989), Leviathan was an action horror film that grossed only $15.7 million. It’s cast was made up of Richard Crenna, Amanda Pays, Daniel Stern, Ernie Hudson, and Meg Foster, to name a few. It had some breath taking cinematography by Alex Thomson, who made history with Labyrinth & Legend and who later worked on Alien 3 & Cliffhanger, to name a few. This film is no different as the locations underwater and the mining facility itself become a character and the real prison from which the characters find themselves trapped.
Leviathan is a suspense filled joyride from beginning to end in the tradition of Cosmaos’ previous films Cobra, Of Unknown Origin, Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Tombstone, and makes as one of the truly best underwater horror films since Jaws.

That underwater sea monster film with Kurt Russell?
There's a godawful sci-fi film starring Kurt Russell that I think was made some time after 2000; the characters are stuck on an ocean liner (i think) with a giant squid-like monster thing. Kurt's catchphrase is equally awful: "Now what?"
Anyone know what it's called? It made me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes - especially the "cliff-hanger" ending with the "plot twist".
Yep, it was actually Treat Williams in "Deep Rising" - was sure it was Kurt Russell, but looking now they don't even look alike. Oh well! Yes, that film was terrible.
That wasn't Kurt Russell...It was Treat Williams...and the movie is called "Deep Rising"
Local connections galore in new film
"Dancehall," based on area man's novel, to be shot in region this summer
