Here are some more information for Honeywell Pentax:

Is the Honeywell air purifier effective in removing allergens; therefore , improving allergies and asthma. Is this the best home air purifier for the money? After close examination, it becomes obvious that these air cleaners have many key attributes that can improve your health. There are many different kinds of units so I focused on a home air purifier, that contained lifetime filters, and cleans the air for the 3 major kinds of air pollutants.
Pros:
- Lifetime filter - no added cost
- Relatively inexpensive to run - energy conservation (always a nice feature with any appliance)
- 99% filter of particulate matter - great way to reduce allergens
- Quiet - absolutely necessary for any appliance that will be running 24*7
- Easy to clean - no one needs to add work to an already busy schedule
- Helps eliminate mold, germs, smoke and odor (percent depends on the specific unit)
Cons:
Although the Honeywell air purifiers do a good job purifying the air; there are still some major concerns that need to be addressed and possibly required depending on your home or office.
1. By using a filter system the air purification will go up and down slickly when the filters get dirty. Also you still need to clean these filters quarterly. If you have allergies, it is always advised to wear a mask when changing or cleaning filters because some of the allergens can be irritating just during the maintenance process. It is recommended to have an air purifier that contains no filters. The photoionization bulb is a great alternative to traditional filters because typically you only need to change these 1 time a year plus relatively no allergens are stirred up during the maintenance. Furthermore, the bulb allows the system to work virtually 100% effectively all the time.
2. The area that the Honeywell air purifier covers is limited to a small to medium room. Typically, the coverage was below 200 sq ft for many of the units that were studied. With this in mind, you'll need to have many air purifiers to cover one home; therefore, you must take this into account when you are calculating total cost and total maintenance (time in this case). For example, my home is a 2 story home with a cathedral ceiling in a bedroom and family room. Let's disregard the high ceilings for now and see how many Honeywell air purifiers my home would require just calculating the number of units is roughly equal to the number of rooms in my home: it would need over 14 units (that doesn't cover hallways where my children play on the floor or stairwells). This presents an even bigger dilemma when the home has a cathedral ceiling. This will throw the overall sq footage into a totally different realm. Sq footage is not just 2 dimensional: it is 3 dimensional.
Barb Lulay, an Education Health Specialist and owner of Health and Harmony, focuses on reducing an individual's risk of illnesses by reducing the toxins in one's environment. A key part of this is to purify the air in the home. The home air purifiers that have past Barb's stringent tests can be found at the Best Home Air Purifiers. Barb has helped thousands of people purify their homes and offices by using a high quality, cost effective air purifier. To learn more, please visit the Best Home Air Purifiers now.
"It's a Sony"
Have you ever wondered why is it that the music CD that you listen to day in and day out runs for a maximum of approximately 74 minutes? Even if you did; you probably put it down to some kind of technical aspect, which you would not understand no matter how hard you tried. The answer lies in Beethoven. Yes, good old Beethoven. Beethoven aficionados would tell you very quickly that Beethoven's Ninth Symphony runs for approximately 74 minutes. Sony was the company that invented the music CD. The founder of Sony, Akio Morita was a huge fan of Beethoven. When the length of the CD was to be decided, Morita simply made it long enough so that he could listen to an uninterrupted performance of the music maestro.
Akio Morita was born on January 26, 1921, in the city of Nagoya, to a family of sake brewers. The Morita family has been brewing sake for nearly 400 years in the city of Tokoname, near Nagoya. Under the strict eyes of his father, Kyuzaemon, Akio was groomed to become the heir to the family business. As a student, Akio often sat in on company meetings with his father and he would help with the family business even on school holidays. Akio's main passions lay in tinkering with the various electronic appliances.
Once Morita passed out from University he was called upon for duty in the pacific war that had just broken out. Akio Morita became a Navy lieutenant and met Masaru Ibuka who was part of the Navy's Wartime Research Committee. It was with Ibuka that Morita went on to form a company called Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo K.K. (Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corporation) in 1946. During their long partnership it was very evident that Ibuka handled technological research, product development and quality control while Morita took care of the marketing, globalization, finance and human resources aspects.
Morita was fanatical about his company's brand name from the very beginning. He did not want to repeat the mistakes that his fellow Japanese were committing. Pentax, Ricoh and Sanyo made products for Honeywell, Savin and Sanyo respectively. As a result he wanted a name that would be easier to pronounce and recognizable all over the world. Morita and Ibuka pored over dictionaries of different languages and found the word "sonus," which in Latin means sound. In addition, the word sonny was part of the pop vernacular in America at the time due to the Italian immigrants. The combination of the two formed Sony. Sony's globalization began in the U.S., where Morita moved his entire family in 1963. He did this so that he had a better opportunity to understand Americans, their market, customs and regulations.
Morita's strengths lay in the fact that he noticed that the world was shrinking and the number of opportunities was rising. It was possible and increasingly easy for companies in two different continents to do business with each other. He successfully adopted an approach that drew from the best practices of both Eastern and Western cultures. Sony Corporation went on to create products that astounded the whole world at the time. The 8-in. television, videotape recorder, Walkman and pocket transistor are some examples. Sony single-handedly changed the notion that the Japanese only made products that could compete in the market due to it's cheap pricing. After Sony, the "Made in Japan" tag signified superior quality.
Other than technological firsts, Sony Corporation was the first Japanese company to issue American Depositary Receipts in the U.S. Never before had a Japanese company been listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Many Japanese companies followed soon suit and began to raise foreign capital. Morita then wrote a book called Never Mind School Records, which lay emphasis on the fact that school records are not the only criteria to be used in judging a person's abilities. He was also the author of his best-selling autobiography "Made in Japan." Morita's other book "The Japan That Can Say No" became controversial because of its jingoistic overtones but Morita later clarified that his views had been misinterpreted.
Morita's uniqueness is also manifest by the fact that he took up activities such as wind surfing, scuba diving and skiing after he was 60 years old. <!-- From http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/5-20-2004-54398.asp --> <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

mirror stuck in my pentax 35 mm slr?
my manual focus honeywell pentax 35 mm slr camera's mirror is stuck in the upward position. What do i do?
It's probably the fact that the shutter is worn and either needs repair or lubrication. I recently had a H1a where the mirror would not return. I took it to a good camera repair guy and he lubricated the shutter assembly and now it works fine.
