Dropped my camera/Lens frozen ?

Hi,
Someone accidentally knocked my camera out of my hand while it was on, with lens open, and it fell on a wooden floor lens-side down.

This is the Camera that i have:
http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/51CBExKhtAL._digital-camera-surani_.jpg

-Kodak AF 3x[Optical Aspheric Lens]

The top part of the lens came open a little bit, and it seems as if the bottom got pushed in. When I press the "ON" button, the camera turns on for like two seconds, and the sound comes, but then it goes black, since the lens is frozen.

Is my camera beyond repair ?
I don't remember taking a warranty on it, which was a big mistake.
I think I still have the receipt from Sears, where I purchased the camera back in May. Will I be able to do anything with that ?

Can anyone help me in any way ?
Thanks so much :)

It would not be cost effective to fix it. Warranty will not cover abuse. Enjoy shopping for your new camera, and attach a wrist or neck strap to avoid falls.

Johann Hari: What Will Britain Lose If Labour Is Defeated Today?
The gap between Labour and the Conservatives is far too small, but a lot of people live and die in that gap. If we, the anti-Tory majority, cast our ballots smartly, we will strip Cameron of a majority.
