Fashionable Colorful Contact Lens, Are They Safe? (1)
In recent years, colorful contact lens has in its day. More and more myopia people have begun to wear a pair of colorful contact lens, especially the fashionable youth. Indeed, contact lens is not only a pair of glasses to improve the eyesight, but also the special ornament increasing some color to the appearance. Wearing a right pair of colorful contact lens, eyes will seems wider than they really are. At the same time, your personality and characters can be fully shown. It is a wonderful experience, isn't it?
But there are a lot of problems together with all the attractive aspects. Do you know the harm and the measures should be taken? If not, pay attention to the following contents.
Buying and then wearing a pair of colorful contact lens at the pleasure are the main reason to harm, even hurt eyes badly for most of myopia people. Colorful contact lens can decorate eyes, but the first and most important function is to improve the eyesight and make the horizon clear. If you do not take care of eyes as much as they need, some problems will happen sooner or later.
About the colorful contact lens, something should be learned first. With various colors on the rim part, the middle part of colorful contact lens usually has fixed diameter. But our pupils need to extend or concentrate by instinct, according to the brightness of light. So wearing colorful contact lens will influence range and clearness of eyesight, especially after dusk. Compared to the plain ones, colorful contact lens are easier to decrease the amount of oxygen being contact with the cornea. Especially in the beginning period, there are always some symptoms, like eyes becoming red, itching, more secretion or even eyesight blurring. Then there may be some inflammation at the cornea. Because contact lens touches the cornea, there will be some repeated friction. In addition, eye balls do not adjust to the lens outside. So the cornea will be uncomfortable, even has some inflammation.
The above are part of the disadvantages of wearing a pair of colorful contact lens. More aspects will be introduced later. Meanwhile, there are some principles to keep eyes healthy together with beauty. It will be a better choice for people in fashion.
About the Author
why do we need prime lens?
Nowadays, I see more and more good zoom lens with relatively larger aperture number (i.e.2.8) and they all produce beautiful pictures. But why on the earth , lens makers still want to make expensive prime lens ( i.e. Canon EF 85mm f/1.2). optically speaking, they do not have huge differences. even in low light condition. There are very few cases you do need larger f number but this does not give any reasons for high price tag. any other reasons?????
It's a question of what suits the user.
I have zooms and primes in my collection, zooms for maximum flexibility, primes for when I have a subject in mind and know my approach.
My cheapest lens is Canons 50mm f1.8, it weighs nothing on the camera, keeps it compact and delivers great results. I have a 50-500 Bigma, so if I know I won't be zooming beyond 50 I take the 50 f1.8.
I never really have to consider using a tripod with the 50 f1.8, I know it's a bit sloppy wide open so I stop down to f2.8 and it's great. If an a f2.8 zoom was my starting point then I'd want to be at f4 or f5.6 to get the best out of the it.
I have a 200 f2.8 L II. Pretty compact, excellent image quality and superlative AF speed in Ai Servo centre point.
It has no zoom, this may make it less flexible, for me it makes it faster to use, one less thing to worry about. Sure it doesn't suit every application, but for motor-racing it's perfect for my needs. I find my subject, track it for a couple of seconds then shoot away. Never fails.
A 70-200 f2.8 L would be nice, but bigger, heavier, more expensive and not quite as terrifically sharp.
When it comes to super expensive lenses such as the 50mm f1.2 etc, I think a lot of it is brinkmanship by canon, how far can they push the limits. Of course without such terrific lenses we may not have seen very useful innovations like one touch AF, or USM, or ring motors.
The f1.2 is pretty horrible to use wide open, what looks great in the viewfinder can be waaaay soft when you get back to your PC, the main benefit of the ultra fast max aperture is the extra speed it brings to the AF system (more light, more reliable, faster AF) and that when you stop down to f2 the lens becomes very useable.
Obviously the economics of scale come into play, these lenses have a high R&D cost and won't shift as many units as the 50 f1.8 for example,
so they become more expensive per unit.
For certain applications primes seriously outperform zooms. If you want decent macro pics, you want a prime macro lens (one notable exception is the canon MPE 65mm, which has a 5x scale factor: not strictly a zoom in the conventional sense) If you want tilt shift, you want a prime lens.
Some of canons primes aren't all that expensive, bargains such as the 28mm f2.8 (good build, good images, nice & compact, good landscaper on FF, good 'standard' on a cropped sensor, cheap) the 35 f2, even the more esoteric 135 f2.8 SF, all have a useful life in the digital age.
Ultimately the great thing about an SLR system is it's versatility. It's all about choice. Canon cater for this.
There will always be camera club bores who want the best kit in their club (You know the type "Oh you can't take decent pictures with a...") forget them, buy whats right for you and your budget and get out there and take some pictures.
Don't overlook canons cheaper primes too!
