I have a laptop that was locked to a base via a cable. There were two sticky "pads," one attached to the laptop and one attached to the table. A locking cable was then fed through both to lock it to the table. How can I remove the sticky pad to sell the laptop?

rubbing alcohol, or goo gone. dont put it directly on the laptop, put some on a rag and wipe the spot. you may have to let the sticky part soak a little bit, and then try rubbing it off. make sure your laptop is off while you do this. and try not to get any in the laptop itself.
