A very fast and effective way to guarantee that you will like what comes back to you is to stay in the mode of appreciation. Appreciation is a pure positive energy vibration that always matches things you want in your experience. (Abraham)

In the spirit of giving thanks, feeling gratitude and staying in

the mode of appreciation, I'd like to thank Jerry and Esther

Hicks for so magnificently flowing Abraham into my awareness

for so many years. Among the many blessings that have come into my life as a result of their teachings, is an ever-deepening sensitivity to the vibrations of words.

In this Thanksgiving season, when mass consciousness pauses to reflect in a posture of

gratitude, we can refine the process even further. We can take our thanks-giving to a

new level.

Feeling Words

The vibration of Appreciation is the closest vibration that can be experienced by a

human being to that of his non-physical core energy. (Abraham)

When we truly enter the vibration of appreciation, we often feel inspired to use the

word "grateful." I have noticed that this word sometimes creates a little detour in my

mind. It shunts my thinking through an extra little loop. For a brief and almost

imperceptible instant, my mind does a quick flip.

Here's a slow motion replay of a lightening fast moment of conflict triggered by an

otherwise beautiful and sincere word. It begins when I say, silently or aloud, "I am

grateful for..(something)" It can be anything - let's say it's my dog who I love very

dearly. As soon as I say, "I am so grateful for Snowball," in order to really comprehend

and taste and fully inhabit the words, my mind quickly flashes to how it would be if I

didn't have her in my life. Then, after my busy little mind gets the overwhelmingly sad

feeling or image of the lack of my constant companion, it jumps with both feet into

gratitude in a whole-hearted way. But the discomfort of the feeling of loss triggered by

that brief, unintentional mental detour lingers and just slightly muddies my vibration of

appreciation.

This tiny mental fluctuation may seem insignificant. And it doesn't even happen all the

time. In fact, it may not happen for you at all with the word grateful. But what this

example can still do for you is to put a magnifying glass up to the mental waves that

are generated by the words you use.

The best use of this increasing sensitivity is to then experiment with new words to suit

your purpose. To continue with our example, I might replace the word "grateful" with

"happy." This word has a very pure vibration for me and might remove that loop (into

what is not wanted) from my mental pathway. Let's try it both ways and see if we can

sense a difference in the feeling evoked by the two different statements:

I am so grateful that Snowball is here by my side.

I am so happy that Snowball is here by my side.

Do you feel a difference? I do. When cultivating a feeling of appreciation, I recommend

experimenting with words. Not taking them at face value, at their dictionary meaning,

but really looking into your vibrational relationship with words. You may find some

loops and detours creating unnecessary static in your consciousness. And you may find

simple replacements that promote ease and alignment.

Vibrational Dictionary

Appreciation feels good in your powerful and important now - and it guarantees

wonderful future experiences as the Universe responds again and again to your signal.

(Abraham)

Paying attention to how the words that flow from your lips feel when they enter your

heart will bring you to greater and greater refinement in your experience of

appreciation. As you purify your word-world, you generate your own "verbal

environment" which acts like a magnetic field.

You have an inner vibrational dictionary. It is constantly updated as meanings are

always changing. It contains your own personal definitions and in the same way that

the dictionary on your bookshelf improves your communication with others, using your

inner vibrational dictionary brings you into clarity and clear communication with

yourself. And of course, the Universe is listening.

How to Make Girls' Hair Bows

Hair Bows are really cute and if done properly, they give a cool style to your kid and also complement her hair style. From a classic bow to a fancy round-a-bow, you can make many hair bows that reflect your child's true style. Although these hair bows are simple to make, some require sewing or using a hot glue gun. So you may want to create them yourself or supervise your child when she makes them.

Making a shoelace bow with front braids is as easy as tying your shoes and the effect can be magnified many times when you combine materials to make it more intricate. Adding them on these side braids brings a new twist to an old hairstyle. In this article you'll learn how to make one of the very popular hair bows i.e. Shoelace Bow with Front Braids. So let’s get started.

Items you will require -

* 18 inches of strung sequins

* Three 18-inch ribbons, 1/8 inch wide

* 1-1/2 inch barrette

The pattern on this ribbon gives you a shoelace bow which looks very good and almost unbelievable. To get that pinched look at the ends of the tails, trim each end so that it comes to a point at the center, then fold the two sides back and glue them together before you add the stars.

  1. For cutting the strung sequins to the proper length, put glue on the ends of the string to keep the sequins on.
  1. Then hold the sequins and ribbons together about 4-1/2 inches from the ends. Form a loop about 2-1/2 inches long.
  1. Wrap the materials loosely around the base of the loop to form a small circle around it and then feed the materials through the circle to form a second loop, just as if you were tying a shoelace.
  1. Pull the two loops in opposite directions to secure the bow, just as if you were tying a shoelace. Adjust the loops and the tails so the two sides are symmetrical.
  1. Then stick the barrette to the back-side of the brow.

Add a personal touch to your hair bow with a photo of your pet, your best friend, some hunky guy, or even a picture you've drawn yourself. Just glue the picture to a piece of colored cardboard and slap it on the bow. When gluing novelties to the bows, think about what direction the barrette is in. If you're putting on a picture or a message, make sure it will be right side up when the barrette is in your hair.

Braiding is a difficult technique to master. Don't be discouraged if you have trouble the first time you try it. Keep trying even if you fail multiple times; your fingers will eventually get the hang of it. To create front braids, follow these instructions:

  1. Fully part the hair beside the center of the head, brushing each side into a ponytail just behind the ear. Fasten each ponytail with a coated band. Place a ponytail styler behind the coated band of the ponytail on right side, loop end up.
  1. Draw the ponytail up through the loop.
  1. Softly holding the ponytail, pull the ponytail styler down so that the ponytail is pulled through behind the covered band. Hair flips over and drops down.
  1. Cross-section the ponytail into three equal-size strands. Cross the right strand under the center strand and draw the center strand to the right. Cross the left strand under the center section so that these two strands exchange positions.
  1. Keep working in this way and crossing sections to the end of the ponytail. Secure with a coated band. Repeat on the ponytail on the left side

Which engagement ring should I get?

I am looking to buy an engagement ring, and have shopped around a little and learned a little about the stones. I am torn between a 1.1 carat solitaire (I1-2 K grade) and a better quality .75 solitaire. Both are about the same price. I cant tell the difference without using a loop (magnifying glass) but I am worried other people may be able to. There is a pretty big difference in appearance size wise though. Is a .75 going to be something big enough to be eye catching or a disappointment. My girlfriend has already told me not to spend more than $500 on it and she would be happy with anything I got her, so that's not my concern. I am just want people to think wow that's a nice ring. She has pretty small hands too if that helps. I have already decided to spend $2000, what should I do?

Go for the smaller stone. If she has small hands, the larger stone will look awkward on her.
