What is the 2009 at the bottom left part of the cover of the original AD&D monster manual is for?

I just got the classic one (1979 I was told) but it has a 2009 in the lower left corner. Is it a reprint, or does that mean something else?

It might be the copy of print. I own an original AD&D Monster copy from 1979 and it says 2011 on it.
