There are three types of sewing machines- mechanical sewing machines, electronic sewing machines, and computerized sewing machines. Since their introduction in 1800 till 1960's, all sewing machines were mechanical. Mechanical sewing machines are controlled by a rotary wheel. Another type is the computerized sewing machine, which is very fast and easy to use. Computerized sewing machines are similar to electronic sewing machines. They ask me "name the type of model suggested by the graph". It is completely V shaped and it doesn't look like a parabola. It is like this: V. Please help!!!

I think it's absolute value.

Think about it, let's just to y = abs(x) and plot a few points:
x=-2, y=2
x=-1, y=1
x=0, y=0
x=1, y=1
x=2 y=2

So it should come down to a straight point on (0,0) but otherwise be two lines with slopes of -1 (on the left side of the y axis) and 1 (on the right side of the y axis). A perfect v!

So the model is an equasion with an absolute value function.
