Zeiss had an excellent name for optical equipment dating back through the last century, but now even cheap Sony camcorders have 'Zeiss' lenses. The Canon lens appears to have a better spec 1.2 as opposed to 1.4, and the Japanese have come along way with lens quality. I would wait and read any reviews before finally making my decision.
