The Olympus 4/3 still cameras and lenses are well known by their outstanding quality. The 4/3 system has variety of lenses for everyones needs starting from professionals to beginners. Although the Olympus 4/3 system has lenses starting from fisheye lens and ending with telephoto lenses, the wide angle segment does not have so many to choose from.

The Olympus 4/3 system has wide to telephoto zoom lenses, wide-angle zoom lenses and wide angle prime lenses. The wide to telephoto zoom segment has most lenses to offer. The Olympus 12-60 mm f/2,8-4,0 ED SWD lens is a great travel lens, it has a much wider range than the above mentioned lenses and also it has better optical quality. The prices for this lens start around 900 dollars. The top of the range is the 14-35 mm f/2,0 ED zoom lens. This is the most expensive Olympus wide to telephoto zoom. The prices start at 1800 dollars. This is also the heaviest of the Olympus wide to telephoto zoom lenses, it weights 900g.

The wide angle zoom lenses only has the consumer level 9-18 mm f/4,0-5,6 lens. This is the most accessible extreme wide angle zoom for the Olympus 4/3 cameras. The prices start around 500 dollars. The 11-22mm f/2.8-3.5 lens has high quality but it is not very dramatically wide. And the top of the range is the Olympus 7-14 mm f/4.0 ED.
