Im setting up a darkroom but have no head for chemestry, at all. Or maths, please will some one explain chemical mixing in simple english and not in ratios and such. They just piss me off. Im using illford chemicals. Could someone explain what the rations mean. Please

If you are serious about setting up a darkroom I suggest you quickly find a head for chemistry and math, you'll need both.

Besides, I'm not sure what's do difficult about measuring. If you need 10ml of developer per liter of water, you pour out 10ml of developer and mix it with 1 liter of water. If you need 60g of powder per liter of water, you weigh out 60g of power and pour it into a liter of water.

All the chemicals you'll be using come with detailed instructions on how to mix them. If you've got the scales and graduated cylinders, you don't need that much of a head for chemistry or math.

But if you can't figure out how to mix your chemicals properly, your best best is to stick with a lab.
