Here are some more information for Photo Light:

With careful use of flash, you can make your photo looks natural as though no flash had been used, instate it will enhance the photo further reducing contrast and yet looking very natural.
It as been a dream of all photographers to look for the balance in lighting whenever they photograph a subject and most of the time the quality of available light isn't always perfect. I will share my experience in making use of flash wisely I am able to enhance my photo rather than by just using the available ambient light.
Before we get started let me clarify a few things with regards to my flash photography techniques that I will be sharing with you.
o Let me define the term flash in this article - it is what some people call "Speedlight" which is the add on flash mounted on the camera hot - shoe type and not either the studio strobe type of flash or the pop-up flash build in the camera..
o The flash photography techniques I'm writing in this article are mostly applicable for "on the field" or "on the move" photography and not studio photography.
o I'm a user of Nikon D-SLR and Speedlight, some example of my photography work shown here are not a standard recipe as each camera system may have a slide different reading hence require some slide adjustment.
Ambient Light plus Flash Photography
I use flash most of the time but using flash does not mean you will spoil the ambient light thus making the photo looking unnatural. Why just use available light alone if your photograph turns out to be horrible. I will show you by understanding some essential techniques, mixing ambient light with flash you can make a better image.
By using the flash I will be able to highlight the shadow areas and avoid shadows under the subject's eyebrows thus making it a better photo than it would have been without flash. But this does not mean that the image will turn up flat. Make sure you get your reading right.
Let's try two examples:
1. Say you are taking a wedding couple in a shaded park under a shade with a sunlit background:-
o Shoot in manual mode because you need to be in control of your exposure metering for accuracy and consistency.
o Meter for the ambient light, get your exposure right, turn off your flash and take a test shot. With the correct exposure you will get a perfect natural surroundings but the wedding couple will be little under exposed or with some shadows around their faces.
o Now turn on your flash and adjust your flash to TTL-BL mode which balance flash automatically with ambient light (as I'm using Nikon). Adjust your flash compensation. Start from 0 EV compensation and slowly go up until plus 1.7 EV. How much is enough? There is no one correct answer to that as it depends how much flash you need to use as a fill in flash. In this example you surely need a stronger fill-flash to match the sunlit background.
2. Say you are taking the bride out door
o Again always shoot on manual mode.
o Meter correctly for the available light.
o Adjust your flash to TTL-BL mode. As for out door, I usually start from -1.3 EV because Nikon Speedlights on TTL-BL mode balance flash automatically with ambient light and I will always shoot with flash firing straight on. The real idea is to use the flash as a fill-light only and to lift the shadows.
The above two examples clearly tells you by just adding flash with the correct exposure set by reading the ambient light together with the right amount of flash value to be fired you will have a perfect and balance natural looking image. Who says by using flash it will look unnatural and spoil the ambient light?
I will be following up with an article entitle Flash Photography Techniques - Bouncing the Flash next to share my photography experienced with you. By bouncing the flash you are able to soften the light and reduce or eliminating flash shadow.

South Florida Photo Safari is a Unique Opportunity For Sharing Photo Lighting Tips
The recent surge in digital camera sales has been possible due to the low cost camera that anybody can afford. Basic digital photography techniques are simple to master with just a little bit of practice and patience.
I recently bough a new camera for myself and then gave my daughter my old one. It was a simple point and shoot with the ability to set the shutter, aperture and ISO. Within a few weeks she sent me a bunch of photos by email and they were pretty good for snapshots but lacked any really good shots. In most cases the lighting was poor or were just poorly framed.
A few weeks later we were in South Florida, South Beach Miami to be exact, and we embarked on an Urban Photo Safari. We started early and headed down by Ocean Avenue. Knowing the sun was directly in our face while looking to the east, she snapped a away at all the cool lifeguards stands and the water. I on the other hand photographed the Art Deco style hotels and restaurants.
When we returned to our hotel later in the morning I down loaded the images to my laptop. My daughter was disappointed at how her photos were all washed out. How the water was dark and the sky was more white than blue. When we reviewed my photos, the buildings were sharp, the colors were bright and while a few of the photos had shadows, most of the shots were pretty good.
Then she asked why I did take any photos of the beach. I told her that I knew the lighting was bad and that they would probably not be very good. At that instant I could practically see the light bulb come on in her head and a valuable lesson was learned.
Later in the afternoon we went back to Ocean Avenue on South Beach and this time we had the sun to our back. Her photographs were beautiful, the lifeguard stands had vivid colors and the sand, sky and sea glowed. Lighting and time of day are very important in shooting outdoor photos.
More South Florida Photography Opportunities
South Florida has many great places for your Photo Safari. Palm Beach offers many great places to shoot photos. Along Flagler Avenue you can shoot multi-million dollar yachts in the water or the buildings that line the Avenue. Worth Avenue in West Palm Beach also offers a photographer many opportunities.
Fort Lauderdale offers many of the same type of shots. One idea is to hop on one of the many tourboats along the waterways and get great shots from there.
The Everglades is one of Florida's more popular eco-destinations. Birds, alligators and other wildlife make for great subjects. For the thrill of a lifetime try an airboat ride, you'll get plenty of great shots from one of those too.
The Florida Keys are another great Eco-destination. John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo offers many trails and walkways above the mangrove swamp.
Islamorada in the middle of the Keys also offers unique photo opportunities. Fishing boats of all types, from rugged commercial vessels with their salty flavor and rustic rigging to the mega yachts with black and gold fishing rods and other bling make for great photos. If you're there in late August you'll see lobster traps stacked high on every vacant spot (near the water and on the boats), that can make for some interesting photos.
If it's interesting people you're looking for Key West is the place. People who go to and live in Key West tend to march to the beat of a different drum. From salty old commercial fishermen to female impersonators, the people of Key West are truly unique.
Key West also features a lighthouse, the Hemingway House Museum with it's six toed cats and Mallory Square with those famous sunset parties and street performers. You'll find some interesting people there too.

i just ran a red light (photo ticket) on sunset blvd in hollywood CA. how much is that gonna cost me?
and is it gonna show up in my record. its my first ticket ever and im scared that its gonna raise my insurance??
I got a red light ticket in Venice and it cost me $380, it IS a point on your record if you do not go to traffic shcool, because it IS a moving violation, but since it is your first ticket you can do traffic school, which in that case will NOT go on your record, which is pretty easy if you do it online, it cost me about $30 to take the online course and they send the certificate directly to the court you are going to. I also asked the judge to make payments for the fine, which almost everyone who went to court that day did too, and they let me set my own amount ($50 a month) but there is an extra fee for making payments, about $50 I think.
If you do not do traffic school it will stay on your record for 3 years and will definately increase your insurance premium.
When you get the ticket and a copy of the pictures in the mail, make sure your face is very clear as the driver, becuase if it isn't you can dispute it at court, if you do the judge will go back and look at the original photo, if he cannot ID you as the driver it will be dismissed.
Portland attorney Mark Ginsberg fights red-light camera ticket -- and wins
Last year, Portland issued 10,808 photo red-light tickets. Affiliated Computer Services, which manages the system, makes $17,000 a month, plus $18 to $27 a ticket.
