I recently got my Canon Powershot SX20IS and I love it! Besides from the fact that it doesn't leave my side or my bag anywhere I go, this digital camera is a keeper. I was just browsing at eBay for a cheap used digital camera that can suffice the need in getting clearer pictures for my eBay listings. But I can't hide my techie side and drooled over the latest Powershot.

I've known Canon for so long, my grandfather loved his Canon camera and I remember him boasting about its ability to take multiple shots, the latest camera technology during that time. But now, with my Canon Powershot SX20IS, 12.1MP, 20X optical zoom, I can have my own bragging rights.

The 12.1MP is more than enough for me, and I won't compare it with DSLR cameras. It produces clear, crisp and bright pictures. The feature that astounds me is the 20X optical zoom with 5-100mm focal length. Yes, I can shoot wide angle and portrait photos. And the best one, I was able to take clear pictures of the moon with just a few changes on the ISO. Not the far landscape view, but zoomed right into the bright jewel, full view where the craters are clearly visible. I had taken pictures of the moon before with my old camera and telescope, but with just my new Powershot SX20IS? It just 'wows' me.

Apart from the powerful zoom, this digital camera can take HD movies with great audio. And you can use the 20X optical zoom while taking HD videos! The onboard system is also amazing. The flash intensity can be adjusted to avoid bright ghostly pictures. I can also attach my old Canonlite flash and it works fine. The 2.7in. varying angle LCD is also something every photographer will love. It's very useful when you have to place the camera in awkward positions. Just rotate the LCD panel and you can navigate and take the perfect shot without straining your neck or lying on the ground. Plus it has an automatic motion sensor, that when you rotate the camera for vertical view, the image on the LCD automatically rotates.

Like most digital cameras, batteries are the main issue. For Powershot SX20IS, it's one thing I didn't like at the start. I understand that with its packed features; the zoom, the flash, the LCD, it drains batteries fast. But there's no problem that can't be solved, so I bought high quality rechargeable batteries for a longer lifetime. With this, I'm back to business and I can take shots and videos for the whole day without worrying about empty batteries.

How to hit the STINGER Golf shot

The fairway wood stinger is a shot synonymous with the world number 1, Tiger Woods, who easily smashes the 280 yard barrier with a THREE wood!

It's a hugely powerful shot that, when performed correctly, is a terrific alternative to the driver if the big stick is misbehaving.

Most importantly though, he usually finds the middle of the fairway with a Stinger shot because it offers extra accuracy.

You will feel more in control and the ball flight the shot creates is both penetrating and promotes run on landing. In fact, there are so many reasons to have this shot at your disposal, the tweaks to your set-up and swing it needs are well worth learning and here are they are:

Tee it low and aim left - Use a very low tee, take your 3 wood and position the ball centrally with your weight slightly more on your left side. You'll also need to aim slightly left because the ball position makes the club meet the ball earlier, so the clubface will be slightly open

Grip down the handle - this will give you much greater control over your swing, but remember to keep your grip light ,at say number 5 on a scale of 10 where 10 is very tight.

Keep your Weight Central - Your weight should stay central in the backswing. Limiting your weight transfer will allow you to stay on top of the ball, fully compressing it. We need this steeper angle of attack to create that lower, more powerful trajectory.

Rediscover your shaft lean - Through impact, the shaft of your club needs to rediscover the forward lean it had at address. Create this by keeping the hands in front of the clubhead as you strike the ball. This keeps the loft off the club, sending the ball lower.

Curtail the follow through - Curtailing your follow through is a natural position to get into when playing this type of shot. This is because you're not allowing the club to fully release, caused by the shaft lean you used to get the lower ball flight.

Try this on the practise range first and build up your confidence with this shot, you'll be surprised how effective it is

Its all about wrist/forearm strength. There is an really handy piece of equipment that has two handles connected by a bar, and a string going down from the middle of the bar, with a weight attached to the end of the string. You twist your wrists to roll up the string, and the weight works your forearms.

You can make on your self by drilling a hole into an old wooden hockey stick, and tying a rope to that and to a bag of a few pucks, or a small dumbell.

Or, you can squeeze a tennis ball while watching t.v. or something.
