Here are some more information for Powershot Camera:

If you are looking for a solid yet ultra-portable compact point-and-shoot digital camera, then the SD1100IS model by Canon will definitely suit your needs. I am by no means a professional photographer, but I have seen lots and lots of consumer digital cameras, and this one simply delighted my shooting experience. In this article I will try to describe the pros and cons of this gadget and hopefully this will ease your buying decisions.
To start off, here are the strengths I managed to pinpoint:
- 8 megapixel image sensor with DIGIC 3 processor. While not up to the latest DIGIC 4 technology, the images are still excellent for the needs of a non-professional photographer.
- Most of the body is made of aluminum. I once dropped it outside on solid concrete and nothing happened (well, except of some nasty scratches on the case). A plastic cased camera would have shattered to pieces.
- Logical user interface. Anyone can figure out how to work its basic functions without even touching the user manual. If you have ever operated a digital camera you will know what to do with this one.
- The Macro mode produces stunning pictures
- Optical viewfinder, particularly useful when the sun is shining so brightly that you can't see anything on the LCD, or when you want to turn the screen off to conserve battery.
Cons and limitations
- No manual control over aperture, shutter speed and focusing. These belong to higher end cameras, you get what you pay for.
- Annoying noise starting at ISO 400, which makes taking pictures in the dark rather impossible
- Very slow auto-focus and shutter speeds. Quite impossible to shoot moving targets.
- Shutter lag increases heavily if you are using the flash mode. You can lose up to several seconds waiting for the flash to charge.
The overall impression I had was great, I would rate it 5 out of 5. Even though it has some limitations, I didn't find them to be too annoying and didn't affect my shooting experience. As a final piece of advice, I would recommend buying a few spare rechargeable batteries and at least one 8 GB memory card, since the camera comes with a tiny 32MB one.
Getting the perfect camera, is never an easy thing, especially with the way digital technology is constantly changing. Fortunately, there are plenty of helpful websites online, that can narrow down your search and help you find the camera with all the features important to you.
Canon Sd1200Is - Nice Little Camera
I purchased this for my fiancee for Christmas. The camera we had been using before this one was a 2002ish Sony Cybershot. This camera is so much better in every aspect. The camera is super easy to use even for non-techy types. The LCD screen is huge and very clear. The only things I don't like about the camera: I had to buy a memory card for it(The camera didn't come with one), and I have to physically remove the battery every time I want to charge the camera. In my old Sony camera I was able to just plug a cord into the camera to charge it. Overall though, it is a great camera and my fiancee and I are both very satisfied with my purchase.
Canon SD1200IS - Great Little Point and Shoot Camera
This is a nice affordable, simple point and shoot digital! The camera does "chatter" a bit while focusing, but as long as you are not taking pictures in a library there is usually enough outside noise that you hardly notice.
Battery life is great, I just took it to Iceland for a week and the battery lasted the whole time. I took about 300 pictures and 4 videos on one complete charge!
Picture quality is decent for a point and shoot. Shots during the daytime/bright light are best but if you have a steady hand you can manage OK pictures in low light as well. The screen is great, nice and clear, but if your batteries are running low you can still use the view finder to eeke out more pics (which I have done on vacations).
Overall, Canon put out a nice, simple product for the average Joe Photographer. It's a good value for your money.
Canon SD1200IS - Perfect for My Wife
I bought this camera as a Christmas present for my wife. She was looking for something small and portable that she could fit into her purse and keep with her at all times. This fits the bill perfectly. It's easy to use, takes good pictures (for what it is), and the battery has great life. Best of all - since she got it in pink, it stands out from everyone else's when in a crowd.
Canon SD1200IS - Excellent Little Camera for Everyday Use
Canon powershot cameras are great for novices like myself. Easy to use, easy to Download the pictures. There limitations especially if you try to use the flash too far away or at night but that goes with territory of a little point and shoot. Great for taking spur of the moment shots.
