Here are some more information for Rangefinder Camera:

Even though Nikon entered the camera world by 1948, today its digital cameras are well known everywhere. The company started small but always dreamed big. Here is a historical review of Nikon.
Nikon was one of the late starters in the camera world. It established itself after the end of the World War II with the launch of the Nikon I in the year 1948. It took Nikon three years to develop this camera. From its launch, the Nikon I had a lot of problems. This was rectified by the company and another model called the Nikon M was introduced in 1949 which was well accepted by the market.
During the 1950's, Leica (a German make) had the best 35 mm rangefinder cameras. Nikon wanted to surpass Leica, and its pursuit, it came up with the Nikon SP in 1957. This was considered to be one of the best Nikon cameras available at that time.
After this, Nikon continued to innovate and launched the Nikon F single lens reflex (SLR) camera in 1959. The Nikon F set the industry standard for SLR's and became the hot favorite of photo journalists and professional photographers at that time. With the Nikon F, Nikon managed to surpass Leica and became the market leader in this category.
Then, in the year 1980, Nikon hit another milestone. It designed the Nikon F3 which was to be used by NASA astronauts in outer space expeditions. This camera needed to be big enough so that astronauts wearing bulky gloves could easily handle it and at the same time it had to be strong enough to work perfectly in zero gravity situations and withstand the strong rays of the Sun. NASA was very happy with the job done by Nikon and it got more cameras designed for itself in the coming years from the company.
During the 1990s, Nikon continued to innovate by bringing out better and more advanced SLR cameras. It came up with the NIKONOS RS, the world's first underwater auto focus SLR camera in the year 1992. The company also joined hands with Fuji Films and introduced the E2/E2S digital still cameras in 1995. As far as digital cameras were concerned, Nikon entered the digital arena in the year 1997 with the launch of its first digital camera, the COOLPIX100.
Today, the company has expanded itself further, and even opened factories in distant lands such as Poland and the Netherlands. It has entered new areas such as binoculars and telescopes and eyewear. Nikon is also considered to be one of the good makes as far as digital cameras are concerned. Over its 50 year history, Nikon has done a fascinating task of constantly innovating itself and bringing about new technologies in the market. here are the latest cameras by Nikon:
Digital SLR Cameras (D-Series): For advanced, professional users.
Coolpix Cameras: Ranging from 3-5 mega pixels, these are great for everyday users.

Digital Cameras
The digital cameras have the ability to display the images on the screen immediately after the image is recorded. The images to be captured can be seen on its screen instead of its viewfinder. This way you can get a clearer preview of the image you are intending to capture.
The digital camera outdoes the traditional film camera in its image storing capacity too. The digital camera has the ability to store thousands of images on a single memory device. In addition you can even erase or unload the captured images onto your computer and reuse the camera’s inbuilt memory. In some cases you can even put a new memory card and store more pictures. Digital cameras also allow you to edit images. When capturing videos, digital cameras have the ability to record sound too, thus making video capturing a fun experience.
There are varied categories of digital cameras:
Video cameras: They are the cameras that exclusively record moving images.
The professional video cameras are the ones used for film production, etc. these have multiple image sensors thus enhancing the resolution of the end product. These do not have a inbuilt VCR or microphone.
The camcorder is another type of digital camera that has a microphone to record sound and an LCD screen to view the image that you are going to capture. This is mostly used by amateurs.
The web cameras are the type that is attached to the computers. Some of these web cameras have microphones, while some of them also include zoom abilities.
Compact digital cameras: They are small and portable; the smallest of them are called subcompacts. They are easy to use with not many special features or high picture quality. They have built in flash of not a very high power, but sufficient for close objects. It also permits live preview. They have a greater depth of field thus allowing objects from larger distances to come in sharp focus.
Bridge cameras: They are higher-end digital cameras that look a lot like Digital SLRs. Bridge cameras have the same advanced features as SLR and the live preview like the compact digital cameras.
Digital single lens reflex cameras: This is the digital camera that works like the single-lens reflex with a film.
Digital rangefinders: A rangefinder is an optical mechanism used to measure subject distance. They were once widely used on film cameras.
Professional modular digital camera systems: Mostly these cameras are used in studios for commercial production. Since they are bulky and difficult to carry they are rarely used in action or nature photography. They can be changed to digital or film cameras by simply replacing the back part of the entire device.
Line-scan camera systems: This type of camera is used in industrial areas in order to capture an image of a constant stream of moving material. This technology has the ability
These cameras are almost solely used in industrial settings to capture an image of a constant stream of moving material. Line-scan technology is capable of capturing data extremely fast, and at very high image resolutions.

I am looking for an old film camera, help please?
I was thinking about getting a polaroid because i like the quality of the photos, and i like taking pictures with dispoable cameras. I was looking at old rangefinder cameras and was wondering what sort of quality does the camera give to the photos. Or does it depend on the type of films I use?
I do know that polaroids arent disposable camera, thats why I put 'and'.
Polaroid cameras (at least not in the traditional sense) are not disposable. You don’t throw away your Polaroid camera after you are done using it – you use it again and again. They are cameras that instantly print your photos. The quality of the prints was not ‘great’, but in those days it was nice just being able to see your pictures right away instead of waiting for the film to be developed (which is why people love digital cameras).
No cameras (even rangefinders) give a “quality” to the photos. I’m assuming you are asking if the camera somehow makes the pictures look “vintage”. Not really. You can take a picture with a modern film camera and a rangefinder camera and they will look the same. Even “lomography” cameras (Holga, Diana, etc.) can give normal pictures if you try. Conversely, you can take weird pictures with normal film cameras as well (one time I accidentally opened my film camera and exposed part of the film. Some of my pictures came out “lomographic”, for lack of a better term).
The film can have a lot to do with it. Some people like a lot of grain on their photos (I personally don’t, even for black and white). Some people like to use expired film (but film can last for years after the expiration date, so if you want a foggy picture you may have to wait 10 years or longer). I have film that expired 2 or 3 years ago and it still looks fine (you can’t tell it is expired).
Also, the printing process can have a lot to do with it (the developing/printing chemicals).
So in a nutshell, it has more to do with than just the camera (in most cases.; the lomography cameras perhaps being the exception).
