Canon FD 55mm 1:1.2 Lens?

Hi.I have a canon fd 55mm 1:1.2 lens which some of us know is a pretty rare & ultra sharp lens..My question is that will this lens work with my canon 450d camera if i was to buy a adapter, if so then will it give me the same sharp results?....I know that it will only work in manual mode.Thanks to all in advance.

Yep, it'll work on a 450d with an adaptor, in manual only. You would get the same sharp images if you can focus it correctly without the split prism focus you get on manual focus cameras. Don't forget that the 450d is a crop camera, so that lens will act as a 88mm lens.
