The Digital Data Storage (DDS) is reliable data storage format which was released in the year 1996. This tape is highly preferred by small and large computer networks. These tapes serve with high storage capacity and superlative performance at remarkably cheap cost. The tape adds backup capabilities and storage space to your desktop systems and servers. These tapes include Hewlett-Packard (HP) C5708A, Sony DGD150PWW, Maxell 200025, Fuji 26047300, Imation 11737, IBM 59H3465, and Quantum CDM24. All these DDS drives are cost-efficient, easy to use and deliver exceptional performance to the users.
The DDS-3 drive has three times increased storage capacity than the previous versions of this tape technology, thus providing the best archival solutions and workstation backup. DDS tape is backwards compatible with DDS-1 as well as the DDS2 media, which means that this technology protects your earlier investment in 4mm storage solutions. The tape uses advanced superfine technology which improves the tape density and minimizes the natural demagnetization.
The innovative magnetism design of this tapes makes the tape move more smoothly inside the cartridge. It expands the durability of this tape. DDS tape combines aramid base film to increase its efficiency. The cartridge design of DDS-3 drive is strong and tough which protects the cartridge from damage. The outstanding static-resistance contributes in decreasing the error rate of the DDS-3 cartridge. It also prevents the tape from dust accumulation. This tape uses helical scanning for recording. The base film is thinner that allows additional tape inside the cartridge. This results in increased storage capacity of the tape.
The DDS-3 has a dual coated media that greatly lessens the distortion and data-overwrite while storing data onto the tape. Being a high capacity storage media, this tape has got a data storage capacity of 12 GB (native). It can also store data up to 24 GB in compressed mode. The data transfer speed of this tape is 1.1 MB/s. The length of the tape is one hundred and twenty five meters. The DDS-3 cartridge does two thousand head passes and one hundred full backup within its life time.
Features improved reliability over previous DDS generations. These tapes are highly recommended at the industrial level. This tapes are supported by the all the large brands of the world including Fuji, Maxell, Sony Hewlett-Packard (HP), IBM, Imation and many others. These tapes can be used with all the known software and operation systems. The DDS-3 tapes are also widely used by the Personal Computer (PC) users for the security of their precious data at the least cost.

Experience the Difference With the Digital Slr Cameras
Normally, the cameras which are not loaded with the SLR feature will not give the photographers the exact view of the subject which actually appears in the final photograph. But, the SLR feature helps the photographers view exactly what will be captured by the film or the digital imaging system. Before the introduction of the SLR camera which stands for single lens reflex all the classical cameras had two optical light paths. This optical light path helps capture photographs well when the subject is at a middle or longer distance. But, when it comes to close-up shot its efficiency goes low. Moreover, the cameras which are not equipped with SLR feature perform very poorly while capturing photos in low light and while using low speed films.
Till the 90s, the cameras equipped with the SLR feature were the most advanced cameras. But, the recent developments have left even the digital SLR cameras far behind. Today, the latest compact digital cameras are equipped with LCD. This helps view exactly what CCD captures. Today, such digital cameras are available at flexible prices in the market. Yet, the SLR cameras are very popular among the professionals and the amateurs because of its clarity and shadow details. The photographers can manually adjust the focus in the SLR cameras and they can also be automatically focused by the auto focus feature. It also supports matter focusing screen to diffuse the light that may spoil a photograph. Thus, these features help get exact viewing, focusing and composition.
The digital SLR cameras have a larger sensor in comparison to many other brands. This helps capture quality photographs even in low light. When the sensitivity of the camera is larger it helps increase the quality of the captured photographs. The sensitivity of the SLR camera is pretty large. The range of the digital SLR is 100 –1600 and it depicts the sensitivity of the digital SLR.
Moreover, the quality of the SLR cameras has further increased over the years. Now, this camera functions faster. The time this camera takes to capture the subject right after the click of the shutter is incredibly faster. But, typical cameras take about 0.5 seconds to complete this task. It is a pretty longer time in comparison to that of the digital SLR. Definitely, one cannot ignore the capacity of the battery as you consider the other features of the SLR digital cameras. With the capacity of the digital SLR you can capture approaching 2000 shots. Moreover, you can interchange the lenses of the digital SLR cameras.
Every thing has its own disadvantages and the digital SLR is no exception. In comparison to typical cameras the digital SLR's weight and size are more. Since, this camera does not possess LCD screen it is not possible to preview the images in this widget. To view the images in this camera it requires additional accessory. Moreover, the prises of the lenses of the SLR camera may be more than that of the camera itself.
The digital SLR cameras help the users know immediately whether the photographs they have taken are of good quality. So, it helps users take better photographs. In monetary terms as well this camera proves to be profitable as the users need not purchase rolls of films. They can just use memory cards which are reusable and can support hundreds of photographs. Moreover, the battery of this camera is rechargeable and it lasts for years if handled properly.

my fuji finepix s1000 wont save pictures to sd disk?
when i turn the camera on, it shows a little yellow camera on the screen with an exclamation point and i take a picture and then go back to look at it and the picture isn't on the disk?
SD card? I thought Fuji Finepix cameras only used hateful XD memory cards?
Anyway, my instant and only thought on this matter is that the memory card is not formatted. Do not format the card on your computer, but find the necessary setting on the camera to do so. It will be in the "settings" section on the menu.
This should solve your problem, if it is indeed an SD card. If it is an XD card though, they are notoriously dodgy and it's probably corrupted beyond all help! One thing I do know about XD cards is that you actually get better quality with the cheaper brands!
