The client (OEM) decided to reorganize two divisions and asked for an overview of our approach & strategy to solve their people, process, and organizational challenges.

Situation: Two divisions, with over 500 personnel (staff & field) performing duplicate tasks against the current economic environment backdrop, needed attention. Our initial response included:

1. Define manpower objectives and do it immediately.

2. Promote strongest, recognized, existing division leader or appropriate person within one of the divisions. This person must be recognized by others as being strong and also knows others can take his job, which should guarantee his cooperation.

3. Field offices take two best (in key job functions) from each office and make them a team.

4. Each team member must be vertically competent...a team interdependent on each others skills & discipline.

5. Focus divisional responsibility to the new division head.

6. Upgrade their titles to next pay grade for all products.

7. Put current staff on street, and bring in displaced field personnel.

8. Set up balance of manpower in field in an 800 number service center to support 2 person groups.

9. Define key agencies' involvement, and bring in no vested interest person to control them.

10. Define task and performance metrics, and present to field personnel.

11. Use laptop screen coloration performance measurement and feedback to field.

12. Use hard data points, and have them report what tasks they are doing relative to each other and communicate back by colors:

RED - Your process is aberrant

Green - Keep going

The eventual performance improvement process identified branch, dealer, corporate staff gaps, KPIs (key performance indicators) and opportunities. It provided measures for integrated market by market sales and service goals, objectives, and standards creation in order to build accountability across the staff and field operations. The process helped facilitate acceptance and assist in resolving conflicts at each branch and at the dealer level in order to reach sales and service goals.

The final recommended program elements sought to build communication, teamwork among functions, corporate work alignment that met the needs of dealers, and focus on system wide goals versus functional goals.

Loading vista premium 64 OEM on a brand new system and if loads files?

Then you see a little bar for a couple seconds and then a blue green screen that looks like its getting ready to do something and it just sits there. Whats up with that? This isnt your basic Microsoft product not giving you a hint what its doing routine is it?

Hmm, I am having a similar problem as well, I had a copy of Windows Vista Business 64bit through MSDNAA in my senior year of high school, after the loading bar finished, it would come up to the bootsplash, then freeze, I thought it was a problem with the DVD disc or the ISO download from Microsoft, I have been working on it for about a year now, I have even used the upgrade advisor to see if the system was compatible and everything checked out (I have XP Home installed on it, so I could run the upgrade advisor on XP)

I have also tried out a Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit DVD (genuine stamped "hologram" disc), and it would load the files, then bluescreen before the bootsplash

I have yet to get Vista installed on my computer, but I think it has something to do with an outdated BIOS (I have yet to update it yet), you may have a similar problem
