Besides keeping it dry, I'd suggest a lower ISO film, such as ISO 50. It will keep your shots from being over exposed and "blown out" by the bright, white snow. This is even more especially true if you are shooting in sunny conditions.

By shooting a lower ISO, you can still use the shutter speed and arpreture setting you are used to seeing and anticipating for your action shots.
