The Feng Shui of Your Main Door – Part 1

As mentioned in my previous articles, the main door of your home is one of the most important areas for the house. The main door is the Chi-mouth of the house; where the flow of Chi enters your home. In this installment, we are going to learn some great feng shui tips for the main door.

The main door of the house is not necessarily the biggest door in front of the house. Many of us often use the smaller doors in front of the home (if available) for convenience. To be specific, the main door of your home is the door that you use most often to enter your house from the front.

The simplest way to determine if your main door has good feng shui is to look out from the main door, from inside of the house. What do you see? If you have a view of some wonderful scenery like a lush forest of a breezy meadow, your home is blessed with excellent feng shui. For those of us who make do without such luxuries, our main door should at least open up to a beautiful garden or space. The area immediately in front of your main door should be clear and spacious.

The porch area in front of the home is known as the ‘Bright Hall’. As the name suggest, the area should be well lighted and bright. Plants and shrubs are wonderful additions for your garden. However, if you look out from your home and find your ‘Bright Hall’ overly dark and constantly shaded by trees, its time to give your plants a trim. A dark porch and patio is very bad feng shui as it may cause mental health problems for the family.

As you look out from your main door, you should never be in direct view of any sharp and pointed objects, like a tree, lamp post, pillars, roads, lanes, sharp angles of roofs and so on. Such objects emits Shar Chi, or more precisely ‘Piercing Heart Chi’, which is extremely bad feng shui for the home.

A main door facing a swimming pool or pond is extremely as the home will benefit from the wealth chi generated from water. Nevertheless, such water features should never be too near the main door.

If you’re currently shopping for a home, avoid homes where the main doors suffer from bad feng shui. If the main door of your current home suffers from bad feng shui, try to relocate the main door to a better location. The feng shui of your main door is not one which you should compromise as it effects the whole house and all of its inhabitants.

How do I uninstall Windows 7? I am using Linux as my main operating system.?

Linux is my main opperating system but for some reason my cd/dvd drive does not work and I am unsure how to uninstall windows 7. 7 is slowing my computer down greatly and I would like to get rid of it asap.
