When you're ready to go on your next skiing trip, perhaps to The Alps, Snow Bird, or Jackson Hole, Wyoming; you will want to have the best video setup for your ultimate video performance. First you need to figure out if you want a compact video cam system or a system with many wires and battery packs to deal with. Realistically, you want a helmet camera video system that has one camera cable and a DVR for play back reviewing. Typically, these helmet cam units range from $400 to $ 800. For a more practical or limited budget, the bullet cam DVR systems are great for the price but a little more to deal with. These bullet camera video camera systems typically range about $400 for the DVR unit and bullet cam. You will have more wires with a bullet cam complete system and a battery pack too, but the quality of video is remarkably good for the price.
When choosing a bullet camera video system some features to look for will be to choose a camera with an ease to use, High Capacity SD Card recording capability with a large amount of recording GB, such as the Elmo Suv Cam. These bullet cameras are used when snowboarding, atving, and skiing. A system like the ELMO II has one camera cable so you don't have to mess with wires and battery packs. These helmet camera recording systems have a DVR attached so you can view your recordings instantly. Before you actually start recording your ski runs, it is always a good idea to test you shot and view of the angle you are recording with on the DVR. With such a high capacity SD card, you can get up to 6 hours of recording at the highest resolution.
For a more affordable bullet cam system, a system with a DVR separate from the helmet cam is a good option. Systems with a separate bullet camera should be at least 480 to 580 CCD Line high resolution. These types of setups are a little more to deal with, but provide the very good quality because of the CCD image sensor. These systems have about 4 wires to connect the complete system together which is the bullet cam, battery pack and DVR.

Security Camera Mysteries: What Does Lux Mean
There are a number of aspects to look at when it comes to picking and choosing from among various security cameras and their systems for operating them.
Whether the camera is high-definition capable or whether its cameras are able to "see" in low light conditions all matter.
In this regard, knowing what LUX has to do when it comes to a security camera's ability to capture an image in low-light conditions is important.
LUX is a way of expressing the measure of any camera's sensitivity to light.
It's a standardized measure and it's (LUX, that is) meant to stand for one-tenth of a foot-candle of light. A foot candle is normally how light intensity is measured. One might say that a spotlight has 10,000 foot candles of intensity, meaning that it would be very bright.
When it comes to a security camera and its LUX, it's always better to go with one that that has as low a number as possible when it's important that a camera be able to pick up movement or activity in very dim conditions.
For example a camera that's rated at 1 LUX will usually have no problem "seeing" during the early evening hours or just before dusk. It won't be able to see in the dark, of course, which will require it to be fitted with infrared (IR) capability in order to pull that off.
There are cameras that can go much lower than just 1 LUX.
A camera that's able to go down to .1 will be able to pick out movement or an image from a nicely-lit parking lot.
One that can work at .05 LUX will be capable of displaying pictures from dimly-lit areas at night.
A LUX of .05 can even see better than the human eye at night.
So keep in mind when it comes to security cameras that low LUX ratings are better than high LUX, because a security camera should be able to capture images in a low light environment for obvious security reasons.
Most security professionals – when discussing cameras – believe that exterior or outdoor cameras should have low LUX ratings.
Don't forget that low-LUX cameras aren't able to see in conditions of complete darkness.
At least, they won't be able to make out much more than lumps and unclear movement. For that, the cameras will need to be paired with an infrared (IR) unit.
As IR requires no light (it "sees" on a different light wavelength spectrum), it isn't rated in terms of LUX, because that measure is reserved for measurement of visible light intensity.
Any good security camera system is composed of several components but the cameras are the most crucial element because they're the "eyes" of the system.
If they're not versatile enough to see well, there's no hope that the system will perform to its fullest.
Having cameras that are of sufficient quality and equipped with the ability to see at night (meaning, having infrared capabilities) is of utmost importance.

Advice on new car cd receiver needed?
I am a complete newbie when it comes to car sound...So I have a few basic questions:
Right now I have a really old cd player in my car. I want to get good new one but don't want to spend over $150.
What should I look for in a new cd player? I would like my sound to be a little louder and a bit clearer.
For example should I go for the highest RMS x channels? There is a nice Pioneer unit which has 22RMS, for $140, but then I also saw a sony unit for around $160 but it only has 17RMS. So will the pioneer be much better than the sony, or do different things influence the power and sound quality?
I would like the receiver to have a usb adapter on it. Right now I am looking at:

Thanks for any advice!
RMS per channel is not gonna matter coming from the head unit. they all max out around 20 watts. U will need to get an amp to really push if thats what u are looking for. Just choose the one with the best features u are looking for. The sound is gonna really depend on what type of door speakers u have in the car. U can replace them if u still have the factory speakers and u will get much better quality.
