If you have or are building a home studio, one of the most important things is to keep sound waves from escaping the space. You might have already built some great walls to keep sound transmissions at bay, but what about the one giant gaping opening that is necessary to gain entrance into the room? Picking out doors

When picking out doors to use, find the biggest heaviest ones you can find. Solid doors will absorb more vibration, while thin hollow core doors will help less. Hanging the doors

Unless you are able to afford pre-hung solid doors, you will most likely have to do some carpentry with your custom setup. Using solid doors, hang each one as if you were doing a regular door - if you have doors made from mdf a piano-hinge system might work better. The weight of the door will be distributed across the entire door and frame, and you will be able to attached to the face of the door as opposed to the interior. You will want to make sure there is enough gap between the doors for a knob, and also to create a space where sound can be trapped. The bigger the space, the better.

Finishing touches

Be sure you use trim and seal around every crack or opening. Sound escapes through gaps, so making your room air tight is a must if you want to gain as much sound dampening as possible. The doors can be covered with a pice of mdf, or sheetrock to help absorb more sound. Paint, or staple fabric on the exterior to give it more of a professional appearance. After all, when you are done you will want to show all of your friends how well it works!

Will someone help me put my emachine t2542 mobo back together. I forgot where someof the usb connectors go?

If you have a picture of a t2542 with the door open so i can put the use connectors back.. its kind of confusing. Thanks so much!

The problem is that the T2542 used 4 different motherboards throughout it's production run. eMachines does this quite often; I actually have a better board in my W3611 than they indicate on their site.
