Here are some more information for Video Tripod:

Egad!!! There sure are a lot of choices out there for audio/video equipment. The great thing is that technology has gotten very inexpensive. Now its easy to catapult yourself to the level of internet marketing guru with a complete HD video studio in your home for less than $300. Seriously!
The most important part of your video tool set is what... the camera right? There are a zillion cameras on the market nowadays and iPhone 3gs' even shoot darn good video. With so many choices available, it may be difficult to ascertain what you absolutely need for online videos that sizzle and sell whatever you are marketing on the internet. This article makes the assumption that video for online promotion is your planned application; not anything Steve Spielberg or even Steve Irwin like. If you're not doing crazy zooms, chasing cheetahs or trying to film Avatar 2 with enormous budgetary restrictions, I've got some cameras that should work just fine for you.
Cameras
- Kodak Zi8 and/or
- Flip Ultra HD
It's a hard decision between the two so actually I have both. They are comparably priced between $160 and $180; they both shoot in beautiful HD right out of the box; there's no learning curve... they just work. To make a decision between the two you have to decide what's more important to you.
The Flip has a flat bottom. THIS IS AWESOME!!! Why... because anything becomes a tripod - the kitchen counter, the top of a car, your desk... anything flat. This is great for impromptu guerrilla filming. One more thing cool about the Flip is that if the battery pack dies on you, just slap in some double A's and you're good to go!
The Zi8 requires a tripod which means you'll have to buy one. You can get a decent tripod for 12 to 15 bucks. The great news is that they collapse down so they are easy to take with you. Not as easy as slapping your camera on any surface you see fit, but it works. The biggest benefit of the Zi8 is the external audio jack. Plugging in an external mic will give you better sound in virtually every circumstance. The Audio Technica ATR-3350 is perfect and has a 6 meter (roughly 20 ft) cord so you can be 10 feet away from the camera outside and still sound great. Another Zi8 benefit is the SD card slot. The Flip has 8gigs of memory and that's all she'll ever have but you can slap a 32 gig card into the Zi8. That's a lot more movie time. Make sure your card is Class 6 or faster if you go this route. Also, 32gig SD cards are a little pricey (around $100), so you're better off just picking up an 8 or 16gig unless you truly need the space. Remember, if you are shooting for internet promotion, usually your videos will be less than 10 minutes. Why spend the extra cash for eight or more hours of recording time?
In addition to the camera, the tripod and the microphone (if you get the Zi8) you'll need some editing software. They both come with software that barely does more than transfer the video. You can pick up a cheap version of Sony Vegas for $40 bucks. Jing is a free tool you can use as well. http://jingproject.com/. A lot of professional internet marketers use Camtasia for screen capturing and video editing. However, retail on Camtasia is just shy of $300 which is our budgetary cap here. Jing is a bargain next to that!
Lighting can get expensive. Some soft box lights may start as low as a couple hundred dollars so let's talk about bringing them in under budget. IKEA! IKEA makes floor lamps that are also flexible reading lamps for $10-$15! Get a couple of those and you're golden. The video purists are probably wincing right now but let them wince. They work well!
So to recap -
Camera: $160-180. I saw Flips on sale online the other day for $120!
Tripod: $12-$15
Microphone: Audio Technica 3350 $25-$30
SD Memory Card: (Kodak Zi8 only) $20
Editing software: $40 or free at Jing
Lights: $10-$15 each
This should be plenty to get you started. Happy shooting!

5 Easy Ways to Use Video to Attract More Clients
As a former NBC television producer I would like to share with you some easy ways to add video to your website or email newsletter. But don’t worry you don’t need experience in a television station control room. Thanks to the YouTube and other video sharing websites adding video to your website is a lot easier than you think.
1) Create a Photo Montage- Do you have photos of your products, workshops, clients, or yourself? Then you can easily create a video for your website. If you are using Windows XP you already have the tool to do this without buying any additional software. Windows Movie Maker has drag and drop features to make creating and editing your movie easier. It allows you to import photos and create a photo montage with background music and fancy video transitions. You can then use this same tool to upload your video to a video sharing website. Don’t worry MAC users, newer MACs come with a video editing tool called IMovie. But if you don’t have this software already it is available to purchase.
2) Video Testimonials- If you work with your clients one on one or provide workshops, why not collect video testimonials from them. All you need is a simple video camera and tripod and you’re ready to go. You don’t need a special microphone or videographer, because the camera microphone will do just fine. But if you would feel more comfortable you could hire an aspiring movie director from your local community college. Your clients will love being on camera and feel honored you asked them. Then use the same video editing software to get just the right clips and upload them to your website or youtube. New clients will be so impressed!
3) Webcam video of you- Do you have a webcam? If not they cost around $50 and are very easy to use. You can use your webcam to record a special video message discussing your free newsletter and the upload the video to your website. I recommend a service called Instant Video Generator that makes this whole process so easy.
4) Video clip of a recent media interview- Were you recently interviewed on television? If so as long as you receive permission you can display this video clip on your website. If you can’t use the clip directly on your website you can always link to their website, but be careful to check the link frequently to make sure that it is still active. Having a video clip from a media outlet gives you instant credibility with potential clients.
5) Video of your product in action- Website visitors thinking about purchasing a product love to see how it works or people using it. Create a home movie of your product in action. For example, if you’re a wedding planner what about a home movie clip of your latest wedding? Or if you sell purses you could create a video of people wearing your purses.
Now before adding any audio/visual elements to your website please keep in mind these tips. Don’t overwhelm your website visitor. Limit you’re elements to one or two per page and only use only one element that plays automatically. Also, you don’t need the most expensive camera, microphone, editing software, or webcamera to get started. Below are my top recommendations for the technology you will need to get started.

I have a manfrotto 719B tripod. I need a cheap head for it that would be good for smooth video panning. Thanks
I only has to move up and down and side to side, But it has to be smooth. Will every head fit. Are they all standard? I don't have much money and my camera is light, but I'm trying to use professional equipment. I have to do alot of moving around so light and quick set up would be good. Any make and model #s would be helpful. Also where can I buy it? Thanks!
Finding a cheap fluid head is like trying to find a cheap HD video camera. No such animal.
Save your penies and buy a used Manfrotto 501 head. Try eBay.
