I have a microwave oven that is in working condition - What to do?

The thrift stores are not willing to take it. Thus far it seems the only option is to pay $20 (or more) to "dispose" it through an e-cycle program. Do you have any other recommendations on where to donate it? It is older, but a nice large countertop microwave oven in working condition. I just posted it on craigslist. Other ideas? We are in Livermore, CA. Thanks!
